How to Fix a Panasonic TV CT-25G7 Not Responding to a Remote

A loss of remote functionality is one of the more common issues experienced by modern TVs. This can be a frustrating issue to deal with, but luckily it typically only has a few possible causes, so with some very simple troubleshooting steps you can once again be enjoying the ease and convenience of using a remote control with your TV. If you use a Panasonic CT-25G7 and your remote has stopped working, use the following steps to resolve the problem.

Skill level:Easy

Instructions

1 Replace the batteries in the remote. By far the most common cause of a loss of remote functionality is that the batteries have simply gone dead. Replace with new batteries and test the remote once again.

2 Remove any obstructions between the remote and the television. Even something as simple as a glass door on a home entertainment centre can block the remote's ability to send commands to the TV.

3 Purchase a universal remote and program it to the TV. If the universal remote controls the TV, continue to use it in place of the factory remote. If the universal remote does not control the TV either, the TV itself may be the cause of the problem.

4 Press the buttons on the front of the TV. If the TV now operates normally, the remote sensor on the CT-25G7 may need to be replaced. If the TV still does not operate either from the remote or the TV control panel buttons, the TV is experiencing a problem and will need to be serviced.
