Marshmallow pops are easy to make, and are a great treat for both kids and adults. These tasty treats can be used as birthday party favors, holiday treats, after-school snacks or just as an anytime dessert.

Skill level:Moderately Easy

Things you need

Glass bowlSpoonMicrowave1/2 pound melting chocolate24 large marshmallowsColored sprinklesWax paperCookie sheet

Instructions

1 Line the cookie sheet with waxed paper. Stand twelve of the marshmallows up on the cookie sheet. Place the lollipop sticks into the center of the marshmallows. Slide the marshmallow up to the center of the stick. Slide another marshmallow up the stick and rest it against the first marshmallow.

2 Place the melting chocolate in the glass bowl. Microwave on medium strength for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir with spoon. Repeat steps, alternating between microwave and stirring, until the chocolate is completely melted.

3 Hold the end of the stick and dip the marshmallows into the chocolate. Rotate the stick clockwise to ensure the marshmallows are completely covered in chocolate. Lift the marshmallows up and out of the chocolate and hold them in place over the bowl until no more chocolate drips are falling into the bowl.

4 Hold the stick horizontally and lay the marshmallows on top of the sprinkles. Roll the stick in between your fingers so that the marshmallows roll along the sprinkles. Continue rolling until all sides of the marshmallows are coated in sprinkles. Repeat with remaining marshmallow pops.

5 Stand the marshmallows upright on the cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow chocolate to set. Remove from refrigerator and store at room temperature until ready to eat.

Tips and warnings

Instead of sprinkles, try using other toppings, such as colored sugar, small candy bits, peanuts or coconut flakes.
