Mixing 10W 40 and 10W 30 motor oils is possible and won't cause any issues with the car's engine. 10W 40 oil10W 30 oilCar engineRag

Instructions

1 Locate the cap to the oil tank in the engine of the car. Using a rag, turn the cap and unscrew it. Take it off and place it somewhere safe so that you don't lose it or let it fall into the engine.

2 Take one bottle of 10W 40 oil and one bottle of 10W 30 and pour them into the oil tank. There isn't a reason to mix them outside of the engine.

3 Take the oil cap and put it back on the oil tank. Make sure that you have screwed it on tightly.

Tips and warnings

Make sure the engine is cool before you attempt to take the oil cap off or you could get burnt.
