Things you need

Flathead screwdriverLong-handled brush

Instructions

1 Turn off the machine and unplug it.

2 Depress the yellow button next to the hose at the bottom of the machine. Pull the hose out and look inside it for clogs. Remove any clogs with a long-handled brush or your fingers.

3 Depress the yellow release button on the area where the top of the flexible hose meets with the wand. Pull the hose out and check it for clogs. Remove any clogs with a long-handled brush.

4 Lower the machine to the floor and remove the dirt canister by pressing the yellow release button on the handle and pulling it from the machine.

5 Look inside the vacuum's foot and inside the air intake tube for blockages. Remove any you see with your fingers or a long-handled brush. The air intake tube is the curved tube on the right side of the machine.

6 Pry off the rounded cap that holds the foot of the machine in place. Use a flathead screwdriver to do this. The cap is located on the neck of the machine's foot. Remove the machine's foot and check it for blockages.

7 Put the foot back into the machine by pressing it into place and pressing the rounded cap back on the neck. Put the canister back into the machine by pressing it there until you hear it click into place. Put the hose back into the machine by pressing them into the hose casings until they click in place.
