Thornless Yellow Climbing Roses

Regardless what kind of flowers, shrubs, trees or plants you establish in your garden, roses can always be a good aesthetic choice thanks to their showy blossoms. Unlike traditional roses, you don't have to be as careful when trimming, planting or decorating with thornless roses, which are ideal for many homes. In addition to their thornless stems, several of these roses are also climbing.

Goldfinch Rose (Rosa Goldfinch)

Goldfinch Rose is a flowery, thornless rambling rose. It has shiny green leaves and in the beginning of summer blooms yolk-yellow and cream-yellow fragrant flowers. The roses are climbing, have mid-green foliage and can reach a height of 8 feet. Goldfinch roses thrive in moist, well-draining soil and full to partial sun. Goldfinch Roses are hardy and drought tolerant plants, which makes them a good option for home gardens.

Tombstone Rose (Rosa Banksiae)

The Tombstone Rose is a thornless and semi-thornless plant that has evergreen leaves and small flowers that bloom white to yellow with numerous petals during the summer. The rose is a scrambling upright climbing plant and can reach a height of 12 to 20 feet. Though Tombstone roses can survive some cold days, at lower temperatures, they can lose leaves. They thrive in full sun and well-balanced soil.

Lady Hillingdon Rose

The Lady Hillingdon rose is an ideal thornless rose for your garden, especially for an archway. It has fragrant, edible semi-double golden yellow flowers and glossy deep green leaves, a colour combination that can add contrast to your landscape. It blooms in both the summer and fall. The Lady Hillingdon is a climbing tea rose and can reach 15 feet high and spread 8 feet wide. This rose thrives in full or partial sun in sandy to clay loam soil, but it does not tolerate shade well. Purchase a cultivar that comes from completely thornless parent seeds, otherwise there is a chance that it will occasionally grown a thorn.
