Expert Insight

The Fat Boy doesn't have common automotive fuses; it has circuit breakers. Fred Collins, Seminole Harley-Davidson speed and customisation expert, explained: "The fuse/circuit breaker box on the 1999 H-D Fatboy houses four 15-amp circuit breakers and one 30-amp circuit breaker for the voltage regulator."

The fuse box on the 1999 Fat Boy, as with most motorcycles, is located under the seat to protect it from the elements and prevent water from entering. After removing the seat, the fuse box is visible behind the battery near the rear of the battery box.
